Delhi-based Maroon Clothing, founded by brothers Manan and Mehul Jain in 2009, has entered India’s competitive lingerie industry. The company reports it has become one of India’s top 10 lingerie manufacturers, producing 40,000 pieces daily.
The Jain brothers, inheriting a family business, decided to venture into fashion. Manan, a fashion school graduate, handles design, while Mehul, an engineer, oversees production quality.
Maroon Clothing states it focuses on body positivity and inclusivity, offering a range of sizes and designs. The brand’s tagline is “Be Equal, God is a Woman.”
The company produces colorful lingerie designs and has created a high-priced bra valued at 10 lakh rupees. Maroon Clothing reports it is attempting to enter the US market.
According to the company, its goal is to provide comfortable and stylish lingerie that appeals to a diverse customer base. As with any new entrant, the brand’s long-term impact on the lingerie market remains to be seen.
